Kick Start My Boux Avenue Journey - ALIKAFBOUX20 for 20% off x

After following a lot of the girls from the previous years ambassadorship, I would see all of the amazing products they got to take photos of, the great meet up's and events, the campaigns and it all seemed a lot of fun. When their year was over I decided it was something I would like to be a part of.

I applied via Instagram, I had to upload a photo of myself with a caption explaining why I would be a perfect boux ambassador,  I then filled out a mini form on the website and the rest was a waiting game. When I first applied I didn't expect anything of it, I didn't think my following would be big enough, or that they might not like that I don't have a perfectly curated "theme" but I thought what's the worst that can happen?

Fast forward to maybe a month later and I received an email from the boux team saying something along the lines of "Congratulations! We would love for you to be part of our scheme." Of course I was overjoyed, as someone that suffers with constant self doubt, to know there was a brand willing to work with me and allow me to be an ambassador of one of their stores was amazing.

Next step: GET MEASURED

Now, I hadn't been measured since I was around 16, I had been wearing a 32E and despite my mum telling me I was wearing the wrong size, I stuck with it. Being the ambassador for the Lakeside Boux Avenue I had to go in, meet the team (who were all so lovely!) and get fitted.

As soon as I took my top off the lady measuring me said it was very clear I was wearing the wrong size. After trying on a variety of bra's I found out I was in actual fact a 30G/30GG depending on the style. All I could think was OMG, shock horror, how am I going to make a huge bra look cute in a flat lay!

Being gifted a set I chose the lovely Sienna Full Support Balconette bra, I loved the French embroidery and the lace trim. I got it with the matching thong, it's cute but flirty with matching embroidery, cut sides and and a lovely hem that flutters around the bottom.

After exchanging emails regarding sizing and the scheme the event was next. Being a bit of a social butterfly and a lover of events I was super excited, a little nervous to meet all of the other girls, but mainly excited. I was already in an Instagram group with four other ambassadors, so we arranged to grab a cocktail before.

After our cocktail we headed over to the Boux Avenue store on the top floor of Westfield White City. When we arrived there were some of the other ambassadors ready and waiting - Everyone was smiley and super friendly, it wasn't long before conversations sparked and we were exchanging compliments, in true girl form.

When arriving at the event room we were greeted by the amazing PR and marketing team, everyone was so stylish and there were smiles all around! I've been to a few events in the past and there is a clear higheracrhy, girls that have higher followers sometimes make it known, the event organisers are super stand offish and there isn't much of an atmosphere, but this was NOT the case for the Boux event! You couldn't tell who had 100k+ followers and who had 1k+, the warmness and flowing conversations from all was amazing, it set a great vibe for the night.

We had a great discussion from India Reynolds and Laura Budryte, past student ambassadors and Current Boux Ambassadors, answering all of our questions, giving out advice and tips on the scheme and blogging/instagramming and all round friendly advice.

The whole night we were topped up with flowing Prosecco, in my case Princess Prosecco as every time my glass was filled up I would run and get some of the cool, bubblegum scented glitter to add to it! The table was filled of my favourite things, Macaroons, sandwiches: including salmon and creme cheese, and chicken and avocado! (Pretty sure I ate all of them to myself). There was a pretty rainbow cake and fruit platters.

At the end of the night we were gifted with a very generous goodie bag! (All to be revealed in an upcoming blog post), and a £50 gift card. With my gift card I decided to buy the black Chloe Sheer bodysuit, lovely scented flowers for my bath and a suspender belt. I would have had to pay some extra to my purchases, but receiving 20% off in store with my code ALIKAFBOUX20, and the fact I only ever bought my bra's from Boux Avenue before I started the scheme, I had £14 to spend on my VIP rewards card (you can sign up for this in store, which I would 100% recommend!)

You can shop the NEW IN collection and use my code ALIKAFBOUX20 for 20% off all new in products. Boux Avenue aren't just limited to lingerie, they sell: hats, scarves, pyjamas for men, women and children, eye masks, candles and more!
